Description
The Original Saloon & Grill opened on the shores of Lake Superior in Duluth, MN, in 1976. Decorated from wall-to-wall and ceiling to floor with authentic area antiques and collectibles, the casual and lively atmosphere is a unique experience, and so is the service. Grandma’s staff prides itself on providing the kind of personalized, friendly service passed down from the Italian immigrant who started it all – Grandma Rosa Brochi. Her commitment to exceeding guests’ expectations lives on.
As the founder and continuing sponsor of Grandma's Marathon, the state's largest marathon, Grandma's Saloon & Grill not only draws people from around the region but from around the world. Truly a "must see" when in Duluth. Deck dining during the warmer months overlooking the famous Aerial Lift Bridge and the Duluth harbor entry.

This is not the place to go if you are on a diet, a health food nut or too fussy to have fun. This is a burger, fries and onion rings place. All manner of burgers with all the decorations you can imagine. It is a tourist trap in the best sense of the word. If you go to Duluth, you have to eat at Grandma's at least once. They run a marathon here by the same name and are generally connected with sports. They have a sports bar along with the restaurant and a gift shop too! The restaurant by the canal is the original one and there are several others in the area. Try it at least once if you are in the area.
