You better go hungry, for Big G's is known for, you guessed it, huge servings. Their sandwiches are some of the best, made on fresh bread of your choice, and they include some rather creative filling combinations. A great place for take out, Big G's isn't much in terms of atmosphere. It's been a favorite source of sandwiches for hungry Colby College students for years, and I'm sure the Jane Fondy and Bill Crosby sandwiches will keep them coming.

I'm reluctant to declare a "best deli in Maine" with the memory of the now-passed South Gate in my mouth (located by the South Gate of the Bath Iron Works, this was one of those places where the sign had one name, and most locals called it by some entirely different name, which is vastly confusing when you're five.)
But I will verify that if one goes to Big G's, one does not leave hungry. Unless you're carrying your sandwich out.

Located in the middle of no where, Big G's well worth the trip. Their portions are huge and the food is relatively inexpensive.
