This place has atmosphere coming out of its ears! It is right on the Kennebec River waterfront in Bath, ME. The service is attentive and prompt. There is a non offensive bar that doesn't normally bother the diners in the dining room, so conversation in the dining room is relaxed. The one thing that bothers me about this place is that it is inconsistant. One time you go here and have a very good meal and the next time it is only average. I know people who won't go here because they have had a bad meal, but I have never had one. The last time I ate here, we were seated at one of the tables in the bar area. Why? There was plenty of room in the dining room. Instead we had to compete with the bar traffic for the whole meal. When a place is right in your neighborhood and you might go there often, the expectation of a good experience should be a given. Here, it is not.
