For a year I moped about convinced that there were no good Chinese restaurants in Baltimore. I had eaten at another place, been utterly disgusted at the subpar food, the subpar service, and being pan handled at my table. A half year passed before I complained to a friend who said, "Really? You'll have to try this place up the street." He was from the boonies in PA so I put it off for another half a year thinking that his tastes and my tastes probably didn't match. Also, the name seemed amateur, New China II? Sheesh. A half year later I was desperate for some chinese food, and flipping through my address book found the name New China II, called the number and ordered.
I was incredibly surprised when less than 30 minutes later my food was delivered piping hot. I was even more surprised when the Chicken Hot and Sour Soup I had ordered was delicious, as were the fried pork dumpling and general Tso's chicken. Since then I've had them weekly (probably 50 or 60 times total), and they have always been great. The food is by far the cheapest chinese food I know about. Typically I get an entree+rice, fried pork dumplings, soup, 2 egg rolls for under $15! Delivery is free, which means I tip em $3 usually. They have never been more than an hour on delivery, usually around 30-40 minutes. They even delivered during a snow storm. All in all, this place is my favorite restaurant in Baltimore.
